Maintenance

The Moorefield Station Conservancy, Inc. (the “Conservancy”) will maintain the sidewalks, grass and street trees on certain roads within Moorefield leading to the Ashburn Metrorail Station. Generally, maintenance of these features will occur along portions of Claude Moore Drive, Croson Lane, Metro Center Drive, Moorefield Boulevard, and Silver Train Road within Moorefield. The Conservancy’s responsibility to maintain these areas will begin after VDOT accepts these roads into the secondary state system.

The Conservancy will also maintain certain regional trails running through the southern portion of Moorefield (which are currently under construction by Toll Brothers), as soon as construction is completed.

Finally, the Conservancy will also own and maintain a planned park within Moorefield, as soon as construction is complete, and the land has been transferred to the Conservancy.

The Conservancy plans to post a map of all the sidewalks, trails and parks it will maintain, as soon as these maintenance responsibilities begin–which is likely to be sometime in 2021.
